Heather Lovelace, Director

Heather Lovelace has a degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia where she studied voice with Dr. Margaret Kuhl and Dr. Gerald Gray. She also has a Masters degree in Music Technology from Duquesne University (PA).

 

Heather has 9 years of education experience spanning grades K - 12 in the Williamsville and Depew school districts. Her choirs have earned Gold at NYSSMA evaluations and recently she was selected as the guest conductor for both the Genesee-Wyoming and Erie County Elementary All County Choirs. Heather is also very active in promoting the use of technology in the music classroom. She has given presentations throughout Western New York and has received special recognition from the Erie County Music Educators Association for her innovative teaching style.

 

Currently, Heather serves as the Director of Music and Administrative Assistant for the Parish Community of St. Katharine Drexel in the Lovejoy community of Buffalo. In addition to the SKD choir, Heather also directs the Festival Chorus of the Christian Foundation for the Performing Arts and is the founder of the Genesee Children's Chorus. Heather also enjoys performing regularly with the Genesee Chorale and serves as the board president.
