From the Perry Herald
How wonderful that this edition of the Perry Herald is so full that my editorial space is minimal.  It is just enough for me to thank Marge Shaw for her efforts to bring the Genesee Chorale to Brick Prsebyterian Church last Sunday.  What a concert. The music was so beautiful and heartfelt that it brought tears to listeners' eyes.  Congratulations to all involved. Conductor Ric Jones at one point took advantage of the church's great acoustics by surrounding the audience with the vocalists who fanned out around the pews. 17-year-old Roy Walker was a guest singer. Accompanied by PCS Music Chair Sandy Bastedo, he sang "Ave Maria". It was beautiful....It was a perfect celebration of the church's 175th anniversary!

Mark Eckstein
Mark Eckstein, Genesee Chorale baritone, has taken a leave of absence this fall to perform in HMS Pinafore with the Aurora Players.  He's playing the role of Dick Deadeye, a curmudgeonly, cranky, and wet-blanket of a sailor.  Also very ugly. Click HERE for a flyer and more information.

Pat Fussell
Pat Fussell will perform with a select chorus of Mercury Opera Rochester for The Glory of the Baroque - RPO Symphony 101 at Performance Hall at Hochstein School of Music on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM.

Benton Hess conducts the RPO and MOR Chorus in a delightful performance, including the rarely performed final scene from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. Also included on the program are works of Bach and Handel.
